Focus Research (Objectif Recherche) is a non-profit that was founded in 1987 to raise the profile of research in Belgium.
We bring together researchers from a range of disciplines working in universities based in both the French-speaking and Dutch-speaking parts of Belgium. In order to improve communication within the research community, Focus Research runs events, carries out research, and produces reports on science policy.
In addition to developing and maintaining local networks of researchers, our team publishes an annual magazine and distributes it to all of the researchers in the Francophone universities in Belgium. As a member of Eurodoc (the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers), Focus Research is actively involved in improving the social and professional conditions for doctoral researchers.
Researchers from different fields and at different stages in their careers can become members of Focus Research on a voluntary basis. If you would like to get involved, please get in touch.
